Journey to Prambanan and Ratu Boko Temple

In November 2011, Lany, Yulita and Me were going to Prambanan and Ratu Boko Temple. It is located 20 km in the east of Yogyakarta. You can go there by your own motorcycle or by Trans Jogja. In that time when I went to Prambanan, I took Trans Jogja, it cost 3000 from my campus (Sanata Dharma University) to the temple, but you need to switch over the bus in the 2nd shelter. In the way to Prambanan, you will notice Kalasan Temple, which is 5 km before Prambanan Temple. There are so many tourists in the Prambanan Temple. There are 2 gates to enter the complex, for domestic and foreign. For domestic, you pay 25.000 rupiahs only for Prambanan Temple, but if you want to go to both Prambanan and Boko Temple, you need to pay 30.000 rupiahs.
In this time, Prambanan Temple is in renovation after the earthquake in 2006. Some of the temple were broken and you could not enter the temple. Prambanan temple complex is very wide. Prambanan temple is one of the largest Hindu temple in Indonesia. Some people called it Roro Jonggrang Temple. This temple was built in 850 B.C. This site was protected by UNESCO as the International Heritage of Indonesia since 1991.
Me, Yulita, Lany
This temple consist of 8 main temples and 250 small temples. The three temples is called Trisakti and be devoted for Trimurti, there are God Siva The Destroyer, God Vishnu The Fancier, and God Brahma The Creator. So, this is my story in the Prambanan Temple. Then, we go to Boko Temple. After you enjoy the view in Prambanan Temple, now, we go to Ratu Boko Temple. It is 10 Km in the south of Prambanan Temple. If you bought the ticket for Prambanan and Ratu Boko Temple, you just go to the bus shelter in the Prambanan Temple, they will take you to the Ratu Boko Temple.
